Join the Launch Team for The Book of Common Courage

Can I be honest with you? It’s taking a concerted effort for me to not over-function in asking you to join me in the launch team for The Book of Common Courage.

It turns out, I can wax poetic about the power of asking for help—

I can write whole chapters of books about how your needs are sacred—

I can let friends listen and love me behind the scenes…

And I still am struggling to show up here,

asking you to support me

without feeling like I am supposed to give you extra to do so.

So, I’m speaking that out loud, because I have an inkling of a feeling that you, like me, need to keep shedding the supposition that support must be earned.

And I’m here, with less than our normal Embodied essay, to remind myself and you:

courage is a calling into community where we are worthy of being witnessed and supported just as we are.

With all that said, I would love to invite you to join my launch team for The Book of Common Courage.

We have room for the first 200 people who sign up, and you get first dibs!

And—my favorite part—everyone who signs up will receive both an early digital copy to read before the book comes out and an extra physical copy of the book upon release. You’ll need to preorder one copy to join, but think of it like Buy-One-Gift-One (or keep your extra for you 😉).

This is the most gift-able book I’ve written yet, so I love that by joining the launch team, you’ll get a copy to give to a friend. It’s rare for publishers to offer that these days, and I’m really grateful mine is.

If launch team lingo is new to you: consider it a way to simultaneously truly help me out and get to enjoy reading my newest book early.

It’s like a miniature book club with me and likeminded folks, where you get access to the book early, along with some fun giveaways, while combining our powers to get the word out. (Definitely join if you are committed to submitting a review!)

And don’t you worry—I am aware that it is Christmas time. We won’t be starting launch team shenanigans until January 2nd. But you’ll get your confirmation of joining the group by December 20th.
